It Doesn't Work Without the Power Cord

My husband builds and repairs computers for a living. We each have our own desktops and so do our 12y/o and 5y/o children. For my birthday a year ago, he bought me a Toshiba Satellite to use for work and I don't know what I ever did without it. It works like a dream, is fast, reliable and very simple to use for the tech-challenged.

But it will not work without the power cord and I am on my third cord this week. They do not stay in place and slip out continuously. That means the battery is always less charged than I think it is. And they bend right at the port so the internal wire bends and unbends repeatedly until it breaks.

I love my computer but at $100 apiece, I will not buy a fourth cord. I will be replacing my laptop this summer.
