Complete Computer Tool Kits

Complete computer tool kits will go a long way in helping you to easily and quickly fix, upgrade, or build your own computer.

You will want to make sure you have at least the minimum required tools … also make sure they are not magnetic tools, or have magnetic parts.

  • Antistatic wristband or floor mats - A must in your tool kit. Computer components are extremely sensitive to static electricity, using one of these tools will help when you forget to ground yourself while working.
  • Needle-nose pliers are great for holding small pieces in place, or picking them up and can reach into small places well.
  • Tweezers – Working with computer circuits is very precise work, these will help hold things into place, and reach areas that needle-nose pliers may not.
  • Screwdrivers - You will need at least a small Phillips as well as a flathead screwdriver in your kit. I prefer the miniature screwdriver kit that has both types in it, and they are great for working inside your computer.
  • Spare parts container – a multi-drawer mini-cabinet will help hold parts and keep them organized..
  • Small powerful flashlight – a small but powerful flashlight will go a long way in helping you to see into the nooks and crannies of your computer case. I recommend something similar to a maglite or halogen bulb light.

If you plan to work on just your own computer, the above will cover just about anything you will need and you can get almost everything in a basic kit.

don't forget to get a complete took kitHowever, if you plan on working on computers as a business, you will want to include various sizes of the above, as well as having an anti-static grounding padicon as a required part of your tool arsenal.

Check out these took kits and testing equipmenticon sales for the best deals I’ve found.
